On On March 22, 2006 the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade sponsored the 2006 Youth Entrepreneurship Conference. The Lanark-North Leeds Enterprise Centre along with the Leeds and Grenville Small Business Enterprise Centre co-hosted the youth conference at the North Grenville Municipal Centre in Kemptville for area high schools. Approximately ninety students from Perth and District Collegiate Institute, Brockville Collegiate Institute, Thousand Islands Secondary School, North Grenville District High School, North Dundas District High School, Carleton Place High School, Seaway High School and Athens District High School participated in the highly successful day. The students were introduced to the idea of becoming an entrepreneur at this full day conference.

The keynote speaker, Gary Gzik of the Volition Alliance Group motivated the students early on in the day. The students proceeded on to four consecutive breakout sessions on Marketing, Customer Service, Do I have what to takes to be an entrepreneur?, and Youth Services.

2006 Youth Entrepreneurship Conference for high school students held at the North Grenville Municipal Centre. This event was hosted by the Lanark-North Leeds Enterprise Centre and the Leeds and Grenville Small Business Enterprise Centre.
 


The conference was a great learning and networking experience for the students who attended and many positive comments were received from both the teachers and students.
